Mmmm, BBQ . . .
Wes hasn’t loaded the pictures yet, but we had Lucille’s BBQ for dinner last night. It was a LOT of food. I’m not sure what Wes had today (probably the leftover corn on the cob), but I had leftovers for lunch. It was basically half of the chicken breast, which I didn’t even finish (so I guess I had less than 1/8 of a chicken?) and about 1/4 of the baked potato with tons...

"Unagi." "Salmon sushi roll."
Unagi, of course, is eel. But all of my Friends fans understand. =)
That was a big dinner that Wes and I shared, just enough for the both of us. Our server was very friendly too, which is always appreciated.
And Wes, I think the explanation of the banner should probably go here. Yes, I know, shameless plug. =)

Mmm, Pac Pellets
I had several ideas for a banner pic, and I finally settled on the one you see above. I am a big video game nut, as anyone who knows me will attest, and I thought who enjoys food more than Pacman? He eats pellets, which I assume are high in fiber, and countless fruits, so he is the perfect nutritional role model. Add to the fact that he has a cute girlfriend in Ms. Pacman, and the parallels are...
They're grrrrrreat!
Kellogg’s Frosted are that is. Special K cereal? Not nearly as sweet, but supposedly healthier. The usual lunch for me today, and definitely not as good as Hot Pot City.
Again I love how Steph is going out of her way to make sure everyone understands that she did not say anything funny while we were having Ramen a few nights ago. I want to emphasize here that Stephanie, in fact, did not...
Self-Serve
Eating at Hot Pot City is a lot like having Korean BBQ. When you are seated, there is a hot plate at your table for grilling along with a metal bowl in the center for soup. After you order your drink and everything else is up to you from there on. There are refrigerators in the back where you will find a wide variety of foods such as short ribs, rib eye, lamb, venison, chicken, shrimp, mussels,...
RE: RE: Warning: Contents May Be Hot
Ah Stephanie, how sensitive you are. God forbid you are ever misrepresented in any way. I remember you blurting out the funny line (which translated to “I burned my tongue whole” in case anyone didn’t get it yet) at the time and I attributed it to you. But if you say it was me and would like to give me credit, I graciously accept it. Luckily, my bung was bine and I bibbent bun it...
Re: Tom Tom's
Tom’s is one of those restaurants that serve a little bit of everything: tacos, burgers, steaks, sandwiches, soups, ice cream, gyros, and ice cream. The kind of place that has the old school menus with the press on lettering hanging above the counter. The food there is fine if you’re hungry, but it’s not exactly fine dining. It hits the spot if you’re jonesing for...
Tom Tom's
We needed to eat a quick lunch so we headed over to a restaurant named Tom’s Place. I just grabbed a taco and Wes ate a ginormic burrito. I wasn’t supposed to be full since I’m eating out for my brother-in-law’s birthday, but who knew one taco would be so filling? Oy, I don’t know how I’m supposed to eat again.

RE: Warning: Contents May Be Hot
We had a craving for ramen, so we wanted to go to Sake but it was half an hour until closing for them, so we tried to order take out, but that didn’t go so well. We ended up going to the supermarket and making our own ramen. I usually don’t eat spicy, but I wanted something with a kick to it, so I bought the spicy chicken flavor, hoping that it wouldn’t be too much for me to...
Warning: Contents May Be Hot
So there’s this great sushi and noodle place called Sake that’s nestled in a small shopping center Steph and I frequent. One of our favorite meals there is the Ramen noodles, which until tonight, we assumed were made fresh. Upon calling them to order out, we discovered after asking them to separate the noodles and the broth that they use typical off-the-shelf-10-packets-for-a-dollar...
Mmmmmm, Panda!
Had lunch together at Panda Inn today. I usually get at least one of two plates - panda beef or phoenix chicken. Since Wes got the chicken plate, that was a no brainer. But the best part again is … dessert!!! I love their fortune cookies! (Also check out the face we made in the Food Faces section.)

RE: Pizza Time!
Yes, apparently a lot of my friends are getting married. And I am not just a bridesmaid, I will be my best friend’s maid of honor. Someone wasn’t listening, but I will attribute that to his hunger.
My meal was delicious. I love their Neapolitan Pizzas. The crust is thin and very crispy, so it’s not too filling, which is a problem I usually have when I eat pizza. My stomach...
Pizza Time!
I am so full. Having only had grapes to eat for lunch today, I was starving when we got to CPK tonight. It killed me that, despite getting there past the dinner rush, we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. What did we talk about to pass the time? A mutual friend of ours is getting married soon, and Steph was super excited, gushing constantly about her friend’s plans, especially since...
The mystery of the grapes and the empty bowl
Actually, there isn’t much of a mystery behind that. I typically have a bowl of Special K with red berries cereal and grapes for lunch. Ants got into my brand new box of cereal, and therefore I have no cereal to eat, and an empty bowl. All I ate were red seedless grapes from Stater Bros (which were really sweet). Yes, I ate all 28 of them. Yes, I counted. And yes, I am still hungry =( .

Sometimes the waiter takes a while
As you can see, we added a new section above called Food Faces. Steph and I have a funny habit of needing to be constantly entertained, and there really isn’t much to do while waiting for the check. I mean, we could talk to each other, but by the end of the meal, all conversation topics have been spent and the impending food coma slowly sets in. So we play with our food. Now I know that we...
Re: Banh Cuon
Slow eater … still enjoying my food. =)

Re: Memphis BBQ Chicken and White Rice
I decided to cook today to save a few pennies, and had some chicken in the freezer. After defrosting overnight, I figured I’d throw something quick together. I usually broil chicken and throw some sauce or spices on top, but my roommate suggested I bake the chicken. I put the chicken in for 30 minutes at 325 degrees fahrenheit, flipping the chicken over at the halfway point. I basted the...
