I never finish my food...
…unless I’m absolutely starving, that is. The leftover pasta wasn’t exactly great, but it wasn’t that bad either. At least the cream didn’t separate from the oil when I put it in the microwave. Usually, when I reheat leftover pasta with alfredo sauce in the microwave, I see a pool of oil with some white cream floating around on top, all of which has separated from...
Mmmm, chocolate!
Just a quick note on the fondue … on our trip to New York not too long ago, we stopped by the FAO Schwartz in New York City and wanted a souvenir to bring home. After casing the entire store, which is HUGE, we came across the sweets section. They had all kinds of goodies such as candy and cookies and there was even a little cafe that served coffees, pastries and ice cream. Not wanting to...
Another Night, Another Dinner, Another Chain...
Prior to watching Resident Evil Extinction, the third in the mind-numbing-barely-scary-Night of the Living Dead Lite series of survival horror flicks which I enjoy oh so much, Steph and I had din din at Johnny Carino’s in Anaheim. Steph, as usual, had pasta (of the bow tie variety) with Alfredo sauce, while I had JC’s “Spicy Romano,” which is fancy marketing for...
Another one bites the dust
Mike, a college friend of mine and former roommate, got married today. Poor bastard couldn’t hang on for a few more years. He almost made it to his 30’s without getting hitched and tied down.
His new wife Danielle is in all seriousness a very sweet and kind girl and I wish them the best. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have made the trek to the Inland Empire to attend.
The food was...
Hail Caesar!
So Wes has been on this caesar salad kick lately. Makes sense because of the hot weather I guess. It’s been a while since we’ve had Lazy Dog Cafe. I love their nachos! The chips are nice and crispy and combined with the chili, it was a tasty dish. It comes with guacamole, salsa and green onions, but I didn’t want to eat around it so we asked for it on the side. Their...
Chili yum yum . . .
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Labor Day! As for myself, I went into the office with two other gals and worked today for about 6 hours. Fun, right? This actually threw my eating schedule off since I had no breakfast and no real lunch. By the time I got home and was able to eat “lunch”, it was already 4pm. There was a special deal at Pizza Hut: 2 large pizzas with 3 toppings...
Bleh
I’ve got about 10 minutes until the end of the day. I thought I’d have something more to post, but I don’t. I had half of a rice bowl of sticky rice and about half of a mango for the entire day today. Thrilling, isn’t it? That’s all folks … .
