So there’s this great sushi and noodle place called Sake that’s nestled in a small shopping center Steph and I frequent. One of our favorite meals there is the Ramen noodles, which until tonight, we assumed were made fresh. Upon calling them to order out, we discovered after asking them to separate the noodles and the broth that they use typical off-the-shelf-10-packets-for-a-dollar ramen noodles, and add a little salt and pepper for seasoning. I guess a little atmosphere, which is great there, goes a long way. At least their sushi is fresh; that I know for sure.
So rather than spend $5 each plus drinks and tip there, we decided to just get our own packets of ramen, add some steak, and eat at home. Total: $2.39. We were pretty hungry after our 6 hour 24 marathon to finish up season 6, and didn’t even realize we missed dinner until it was already 11 PM. The quote of the day goes to Steph, though, for taking a big bite of her scalding soup, and blurting out, “I bunned my bung hole!” Three guesses on what she meant to say.
